It started years before the event itself. Back in 2018, right at the start of Las Olas, Stormzy's manager reached out asking for a bottle - no big campaign, no corporate partnership, just genuine curiosity about what we were creating. We sent over a bottle, and the response was immediate. In 2019, when The Guardian's "Rums of the Week" series featured Stormzy as their guest picker, he chose Las Olas as his second favourite - a shout-out that felt completely authentic.
That kind of organic appreciation is what Las Olas is all about- recognition from people who genuinely connect with what we're doing, not because they have to, but because they want to. So when the opportunity came to work together at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it felt like the natural evolution of a genuine relationship.
